Headshot of George Brauchler with red tie

George Brauchler is a retired member of the United States Army. Use of George Brauchler’s military rank, job titles, and photographs in uniform does not imply endorsement by the Department of the Army or the Department of Defense.

George took his first oath to uphold and defend our Constitutional freedoms when he was 18 years old and he has been fighting for our freedoms and rights–here and abroad ever since.

As a career prosecutor with more than 29 years of experience, George has fought to make our community better and safer for our families.

He has prosecuted nearly every type of criminal offense from misdemeanors to some of the worst mass shootings in America. George knows that being DA means far more than being a mere administrator; it is a position of leadership of the prosecutors, investigators and support staff who make up the office…and George leads from the front, personally prosecuting the most serious cases in the community. Under George’s leadership as the DA in the 18th Judicial District, his office prosecuted thousands of criminals holding each accountable under the law and became one of the premiere DA’s offices in Colorado.

Crime in our Communities

Tough on Crime

Proudly supports law enforcement

George knows that we have to turn the tide of Colorado’s crime tsunami and it starts with the communities in Douglas, Elbert, and Lincoln counties. Under current laws imposed by our offender-centric legislature, criminals are coddled and treated like victims. The resulting crime is costing you, your family, and your businesses everyday – that stops under George Brauchler. These numbers are unsustainable for everyone. Stand with George and help do better for Colorado.

Stand with George and help do better for Colorado.

Over the years, we have seen an increase in crime and our families are suffering. George Brauchler knows how important it is to be tough on crime.

Migrant Crisis

The decades of neglecting our open, unprotected southern border threatens our safety and national security now more than ever. With the crisis at our doorstep, our sanctuary capital city of Denver, who refuses to cooperate with our Department of Homeland Security officers, has become a magnet for unknown migrants across the globe. As with all of Denver’s poor policies, their negative impacts do not end at their border; they are felt everywhere in the metro area–including the 23rd Judicial District.

As a military officer and an experienced prosecutor, George will be vigilant in prosecuting those migrants seeking harm to our citizens and taking advantage of our free society.

He will also continue to advocate to protect our southern border, fix our broken immigration system, and push for policies that promote public safety/national security over political agendas. George will fight for increased cooperation and data sharing between our law enforcement partners, so the public can more accurately know the impact of the migrant crisis on our criminal justice system and our community.

Individual Liberties

George is a proud supporter of our constitutionally protected liberties, including the 2nd Amendment. He is a gun owner and concealed carry permit holder.

George is committed to ensuring every American has the right to self-defense and supports open carry laws throughout the 23rd Judicial District and state of Colorado.

George knows liberals want to dilute and chisel away at the 2nd Amendment and he won’t stand for it. George will continue to protect our God-given, constitutionally protected right to bear arms.
